College golf scholarships? I am a freshman in high school and I will be playing for my school's team in the spring. I shoot around 50 for 9 holes. I was wondering what golf scholarships are out there for colleges (mostly CO, NM, and WY area). What does the average scholarship cover, are they usually full or part? And how accomplished of a player do you need to be? Is there a site with information? How do state tournaments rank a player? Is it something that I will be able to work to by the time I'm a senior?
How to earn a college golf scholarship? My grades are very good, GPA like 4.53. My average score is about 84 and I'm a junior in high school. How could I go about earning a golf scholarship, and how much better do I need to get to be able to earn one? Thank you.

What are my chances of playing college golf? I am a 16 and a sophomore in high school. I can consistently break 80 from the back tees. I usually shoot around 76 or 77 from the back tees. I have a 3.9 GPA and i got a 2050 on a mock SAT. I obviously plan on improving over my next 2 years of high school. What are my chances of playing D1 golf? Also, what are my chances of getting a golf scholarship?
College Golf Scholarship? I am a 3 handicap, 15 years old, Freshman I have a lot of competition under my belt and trying to qualify for the Florida Boys Junior Championship. I know I have to get my name out there. I was on the Varsity Golf Team as a Freshman. I want to know when I can be scouted or looked at for a scholarship or even if I am good enough I love the game, and work at it so hard, I'm often made fun of because I am so obsessed with it and trying to become the best I can be!!! What is the shot I have of getting a Golf scholarship and maybe really getting on one of the tours Oh BTW: My Dad is a PGA Head Pro and I plan on working with Phil Ritson over the next few years...I have an extremely strong work ethic and will do anything to be the best I can be Thanks I have a 4.2 Weighted GPA
Marine Corps Reserve and College Golf? I'm leaving for boot camp in october and starting college in the spring semester on a golf scholarship. Would it be difficult or even possible to be a marine corps reservist and a college athlete at the same time? I'm playing division II golf next year and I'm thinking about waiting to join the marine corps after i graduate from college instead of trying to do both.
Can i get a college golf scholarship? I was wondering if it was possible for me to get a golf scholarship. I started playing very young and at 13 I had a +1 handicap (below scratch). But i grew away from the game. This last year i missed it so i started picking it up again. I just finished my first year in varsity golf as a junior and it was great. I could not believe that I even quit in the first place. I am shooting mid seventies and the scores are still dropping at a rapid pace. I am very dedicated and my grades are good too. But i am wondering since i don't really have a competitive golf resume... If i have a big year in summer golf will it be possible for me to get a scholarship.
Whats a good college for music and golf? I'm looking at majoring in music when i get to college. I play guitar and piano and i sing. I would like to take classes that will help me improve in all those areas. I also love golf, i play everyday and i want to get a scholarship for golf. Which college can i go that will satisfy both of my desires?
How should I make a college recruiting video for golf? I am trying to get a scholarship for golf and I thought I would raise my chances by sending college coaches a video of myself. What do I put in it? Do I talk in it? Should I add music? Help me get started. I really need your help! Thank you!!
College Golf Possibilities? Right now I just ended 8th grade and shoot anywhere from even par to 3 over. I hit an average drive of 260 and play alright around the greens. I am trying out for the high school team in August and am wondering if I have any chance at all to get a college scholarship to a Division I school to play golf, I am trying to improve and hope to shoot even par on average by the end of next year.
College scholarships for community service? Does anyone know of college scholarships that are rewarded to people who have done a lot of community service? I have an okay GPA but it's not great. It's usually a 3.0 - 3.5. Somewhere in there. And I haven't played any sports yet but I might play golf next year. So I'm hoping to get a scholarship based on my involvement in my community.
College golf question? I'm 15 years old and have a 12 handicap. I drive the ball straight at 270. I am not extremely consistent with my scores, but pretty close. I'm also on my school golf team. Do i have a chance of making it in college golf or getting any scholarships? (I'm going to be a sophomore in high school).
Need help if im good enough for college golf? Ive heard from many people that golf is a great sport to get scholarships for college. Id really love to play golf in college on a team. It'd be a dream of mine. Im a junior in high school right now shooting around mid 80's, 42-45 on 9...Ive only had two season of high school golf because I havent played for my junior year yet and last year I got MVP on my varsity team, finished 11th in league, and played varsity freshman year also. Now my family things I should try to go for Division I school for a golf team but I dont think im good enough to play Division I golf considering when I play in high school tournaments they're are alot better golfers than me. I'd like to believe that I could play Division II or Division III in college and get a scholarship but I still do have 2 years left to improve, although I think its to late for my to be a Division I golfer. Any thoughts or help I can get about college golf...if im on the right track and about scholarships too? Thanks!
Walking on a college golf team ? I am a senior in high school and I want to play college golf. I was wanting a scholarship but I waited to late. my handicap is a 3. I was wondering if I had a chance?
Question about college golf? I am a freshman in high school and really want to play college golf. Last year I was on the varsity team as the number 4 guy with two juniors and one other freshman in front of me. Last year I would average around mid 90s for 18 holes. This year I should be low 90s or high 80s. By my senior year the local pro says I should be shooting in the 70s. My question is what kind of scores will I need to play college golf. D1, D2, or D3. And also how should I go about getting a golf scholarship? Thanks in advance
what kind of golf clubs should i get? i am a 15 year old girl in high school. i have been playing for aout a year and absolutely love the game. i was on my school team but i did not have my own clubs. i am not great but not bad either and i get loads better every time i play. i would like to get a golf scholarship to college so just wondering what would be the best kind of clubs? i really dont want to spend more than $400. Thanks!
Do you think i will make college golf? need some tips!!? so i have been golfing for 3 months now and i shot a 49 (for 9 holes) the other day. do you think i'm doing good for such little experience? and do you think i could be good enough in 2-3 years to make college golf for a scholarship? also, today i was having some issues playing and shot a terrible score because i kept trying to change my swing. i usually drive about 200 yards but today i could barely drive it at all!! i kept shanking it and popping it up super high. it was BAD. i'm not sure what caused me to do that, but i just couldn't seem to make contact with the ball. any suggestions?? the course was a par 36. i shot on each hole an average of about 5 or 6. i live in michigan and i was thinking michigan state or Ball state college. ok I"M A GIRL!!! everyone keeps refering me to a guy.
What does my golf handicap need to be? I live in Australia and really want to go to college in America, however because it is very expensive a lot of people have suggested trying to get a golf scholarship to a college as I'm still young and have a lot of time to practice more. What would a girl's handicap have to be to get into a college over there? Any suggestions on good colleges? I was also thinking of going somewhere I would be able to study Public Relations/Journalism etc. Thanks for your help :)
what are some division 2 and 3 golf colleges? IM 15 years old and am hoping to get a golf scholarship to a college. I wanna contact some of the coaches right now so i get an idea of what i need to do to play with them. But i have no idea what schools are actually division 2 and 3 schools. if any body could give me a list of these schools or give me any school name so i can start doing my research that would be fantastic and maybe even how to email coaches.
Golf Schools and Scholarships? I am a scratch golfer at the age of 15 and have been playing golf for only 3 years. I can hit the ball with my driver about 275 yards. I don't attend a normal highschool though and there is no team I can join. I attend a community college and attend the golf classes there. What should I start doing in order to get golf scholarships and increase my chances of being accepted. I have a GPA close to a 4.0 and I already have a lot of college credit from taking classes at the JC here. What should I do?
Good Golf Progress?!?!? Okay, I'm 15 years old. I am going to be a sophomore in August! :) Please tell me whether this is on track for a college golf scholarship! 75 (+4) 73 (+1) 72 (E) 37 (+1) 79 (+7) 71 (-1) 72 (E) 70 (-2) Thanks so much!!! :-)
Golf Scholarships? Im a freshman at my high school and i am curious, what are the chances of me getting a scholarship. I have had clinic invitations to UCLA and have met a college sponsor for Pepperdine. I am confident in my ability/i play varsity golf. My dad, being himself told me i have a low chance of scholarships let alone playing professional (which is my dream) I dont hate him for it but i ask myself what are the chances i can get a scholarship and eventually play pro? By the way i have played in Junior World Championships and ranked 15 when i played it like 3 years ago. havent tried again since then
How do i get a golf scholarship in a d2 school? I'm a teen golfer and what exactly do I need to do to get a golf scholarship? Do I apply for recruitment online, call the coach, apply to the college etc? And do I have to play high school golf to play in d2? I'm so confused can someone make this simple please and thank you.
Division 1 Golf Scholarship.? I am a freshman in high school and am looking to get a Division 1 college scholarship to play golf. I am a 5.7 index, shoot anywhere from 84-76, and have played on the high school team since 8th grade. I live in a cold climate, so golf for me is a very short season. I hit off mats into the snow at a heated stalls range in the winter, so I you could say I play golf year round. In detail, what are all of the requirements and recomendations to be get a Division 1 golf scholarship. I want to know how and when (what year in high school) to contact college coaches. What score, tournements, events, and grades do I need to have to be able to get a scholarship. I work very hard on my golf game and am willing to work even harder to get a scholarship.
What does your handicap have to be to get a division 1 golf scholarship? I cant see myself going to any other school besides the University of Maryland. Maybe I am in the wrong frame of mind but the only way i can afford it is to get a golf scholarship. I am a sophomore in high school and a 9 handicap. I am planning on playing in tournaments all summer as well as my next two summers before heading of to a college. How well do I have to shoot in these tournaments and how low does my handicap have to be??
Advice on walking onto NCAA golf team? I'm 20 years old and have about 2 years left in college. I currently have a 1 handicap and I'd really like to try and walk onto my schools golf team. I attended a high school that had an extremely competitive golf team and despite consistently shooting in the high 70's my junior and senior years of high school I was never able to make the team (all 5 kids in my graduating class received golf scholarships). I love the game and have played religiously the last couple years. With lessons, I've worked my handicap down to a 1. I usually play in half a dozen local tournaments per year and usually shoot below 75. What is the best way to convince the golf coach at my university to give me a serious look? I've never heard of anyone who made a college golf team that didn't play in high school. People on my schools roster have posted scores in the low 80's in tournaments on courses that I consistently shoot par. I've been told that if I look good on paper and present well in person, I will receive an additional interview with the coach on the course and after he evaluates my skills he will make a decision on whether or not I'll receive a walk on spot. What is the best way to market myself to the head golf coach? Any thoughts or advice on how I can convince him that my lack of tournament experience should be overlooked? *I will be trying out for a Pac-12 golf program.
Is it possible for me to play golf in college? I am currently a sophomore in high school (I am almost 16.5 years old and a girl). I used to play golf when I was little. I won third place in a pee wee tournament (3-5 year olds; I would have won second but the girl cheated on the last hole). I continued and had the potential to become quite good, but I gave up on golf. my dad had full scholarships offered from numerous colleges when he was in high school, but pursued other interests and has played with pros in the past. He would be the one getting me back in the game. Would I have time to become good enough to play for schools such as Indiana University, University of Texas, or Arizona State? I would really like to get some athletic scholarships and since I am home schooled, I don't really have any options for sports other than volleyball and basketball where I live. I would consider cross country too, since I love running or tennis. Do I have time to become proficient at a sport in time for college? I forgot to mention, I would be going to play and going to driving ranges probably 2-3 times a week once spring rolls around.
How can I get recruited for a women's golf scholarship? I've been playing for three years and I am about to start my 4th--my senior season. I really want to play in college and am hoping to receive a scholarship as I am told it is extremely uncompetitive. The problem is, I have no idea how to get recruited. My coach is very unhelpful and has little information, so anything helps. My average is around 100 for 18 holes.
golf scholarship? im a freshman in high school who just started golf. iv been playing for 1 month and a shot a 142 at my first tournament which had an 8 stroke limit. im very dedicated to perfecting my game. what would i have to shoot to get a golf scholarship to any college to get a scholarship? in case your wondering im a boy, iv been told its much easier for girls to get golf scholarships. please no rude comments
I am a female trying to play golf in college.? I only know the basics and I can drive it 150-160ft pretty consistently. I have never played a 9 or 18 hole course and kept score, but if that's something I need to do I am more than willing!! I'm already at a D1, Class AA school and I'm interested in walking on to the team. All this in an effort to earn a scholarship later on (i'm a freshmen now). What should I do to make this happen?
What Colleges Should I be Looking at for Golf Scholarships? I am 16 and am starting to look into contacting colleges in the US for golf (I live in ontario). I have a scoring average of 75 on courses around 6600 yards. (I play GAO tournaments mostly) I have a 90% average in school and have a very hard work ethic. I can provide coaches with trackman data and swing videos. I have 2 more years of competitive golf before college so i can improve alot still. Can you give me the idea of what colleges i should be contacting (eg. mid d1, low d1, high d2 etc.) I was also looking at Florida State University. Would it be reasonable to contact this Coach?? thx for input.
Is it possible for me to get a girls golf college scholarship? So i recently discovered my love for golf and it would be like a dream come true to get a golf scholarship... but the bad news is i am going to be a junior in high school this upcoming school year and am a beginner in golf. I know how that sounds... well, impossible right? i know how it sounds but im very athletic and i know that i could be good. I will work very hard. I also know that it is easier to get a girls golf scholarship than a lot of other college sports. I mean is it even possible to be a beginner and only have two years of practice to even make the college team? I am also talking about D1, maybe D2... but anyway i also have good grades. Please help me and give your opinion. Thank you.
Is all hope for college golf lost? Hello, Im a freshman the University of Oregon. I came to this school after much thought about going to a smaller school to play golf. I had a few opportunites to play at DIII schools in oregon and californa, but in the end, the no scholarship and having my parents pay 40,000 a year for a lesser education, college experience and a golf pipedream got to me. I am not saying i dont love it here at the U Of O, but seeing all the athletes and reading about freshman golfers across the states, its made me start thinking again. I started playing golf as a sophmore in highschool, (which i understand is terribly late). My first ever tourney i shot 57 on nine holes. I hate being terrible, so i work my ass off all summer, and i was in the low 40's junior year, but i still was not where i wanted to be, so i worked my ass off again, and on the first tourney of the year senior year we went back to the course that i shot 57 on and shot 34 going out. I won twice, with a 72 and a 79, (the 79 being on a course where a oregon am qualifier was taking place the next day.) I just need some advice and thoughts, on weather my dream is dead, or if i should look at some smaller schools for next year and get back out on the range and start working on my game again.
WiIl getting introuble for sexual harasement in highschool afect my my college dreams? this girl says that i was checking her out. I was not. I tried to make my point but the teachers took her side, because it her word against mine. I dont know what my punishment will be, i think either saturday school or suspension. If either of these happens what will my college chances be. What if i want a golf scholarship. Ime a sophmore. ime a good student and a good golfer, never gotten in trouble

College golf? Please help? I'm wondering what you need to shoot to play D1,D2,D3. How to get recruited. How many scholarships are available for each level. What coaches like to see in players etc. links would be great too
Did I start golf to late to get a golf scholarship? I barely began playing 4 months ago when I joined my high school golf team. Two months ago I turned 15. I was wondering how good do you have to be to get a golf scholarship. How hard do you practice? What kind of instructor do you need? What kind of equipment? Did I start to late. How do I enter tournaments? .How do I get noticed? Every nine holes I play I average a 45. My first tournament I shot 105..No one in my family plays golf so Ime on my own. My goal is to one day play college golf. Any advice or tips would be appreciated.
Golf Scholarship or Education? I'm going into high school this fall and am wondering whether I should try to get into college with a golf scholarship or focus my time on education. Everyone is telling me to go for golf because I'm good and it is easy to get a golf scholarship if I just rank in AJGA. To make this choice harder, UCLA sent a letter of pre-recuitment. But my dream is to become a doctor and therefore I should study my butt off right? If I'm using golf to get in an ivy or something, I would have to give up the doctor dream. Sigh, your opinions please:)
Should I follow my golf dream? 5 months ago I joinedthe golf team in my high school just to get out of P.E. But in a few dayS i FELL in love with it. It was the first sport I was actually good at. Ever since then I have been working hard at it every day and getting private lessons. I shoot in the mid 90's hopeing to shoot in the high 80's this summer. My goal is to one day play college golf what ever division. The problem is that with all this practice, I have been letting my school, work down. Befor holf I was a solid a and b student. Now with golf I am c student with a couple of b's in advance classes. I can oviously inprove but not to where I was at. I am a freshman in high school, I just turned 15. Do I have a chance at a golf scholarship, or am I ruining my life.
Can I play college golf? What division? Scholarship? - I am a 16 years old, a junior in high school - 2 handicap - Success in local tournaments (only played in a few) - Several high school golf awards
Golf scholarship chances? I am currently a freshmen and I have been golfing for about four years. I have pretty good grades(3.52 as of right now), and typically shoot about 6 over on 18 holes. My lowest round so far is a 33 on 9 holes. Just two years ago I was lucky to shoot bogey golf, so I think that if I could lower my scores by this much in that amount of time then by college I could be shooting par golf or better consistently. I know that many colleges don't give very many full scholarships to male golfers because of the high number of scholarships for football etc. Do you think that a full scholarship is just about out of the question or do you think that with a few more years of practice and good grades it isn't out of the question?
How do I get a scholarship for golf? I have been playing golf for about 3 years and have improved drastically over those 3 years. My biggest goal is to play college golf somewhere in the south, preferably North Carolina. Currently I shoot about an 88 on 18 and have an average drive of 240. The weakest area of my game is my short game. I am starting to play in lots of tournaments as the spring nears. Academically I am set, I hold a 3.7 and take a heavy load of honors and AP courses. Is there anything else I need to be doing? Also I am right handed and have had a reconstruction surgery and cartilage revision surgery done on my left knee. Will that make it harder for me to get a scholarship?
full ride girls golf scholarship? ok, so I would kind of like some input on how i'm doing this year and whether or not i can get a scholarship for golf. i am a girl, 14years old, a sophomore in high school, and usually shoot around a 39 on 9 holes and 80 or under on 18 holes (my handicap is 8). I have a 4.0 in all honors and AP courses, so academics aren't really that much of a problem. but as far as my golf game, what goals do i need to set for myself to get into a division 1 college. I really want to go to Stanford. I know my scores aren't good enough yet, but do you think I can go to Stanford with a golf scholarship if I really step up my game and shoot low 70's? my goal by the end of this year is to lower my handicap to a 5 or under, so if i'm able to do that can I get into a division 1 college with a scholarship? thanks :) Hi hi hi: as an answer to your question i'm 14 as a sophomore cause I skipped two grades and my high school offers a few sophomore ap classes my school also offers freshmen ap courses
HELP!!! Which college should I go to?? I play golf and people say I am very good at it and I have a choice of going to a college in Boston with a full golf scholarship, and then my future would be sorted. The college would be Harvard or Boston College but I do not have very good grades and I am scared I could not keep up with the work. And I don't like golf as much as soccer. But I want to go to college in California probabley USC and hopefully get a scholarship there, but I have very little chance in getting it. So what do I pick????? HELP
What colleges should I start thinking about? I want to be prepared to start viewing my options for colleges. I play golf and plan to play at a division 1 college under a scholarship if possible. I have a 4.0 and am interested in possibly majoring in architecture for college. What are some colleges you think are a good fit for me? I want to play somewhere warm because of golf. The only college that I have seriously started to consider is possibly Stanford. What are some other colleges that I should consider? please answer the question, any info would be great!

I met someone through facebook that I have never met before. However, we have mutual friends.? I was on facebook leaving my friend a comment, and I noticed this other guy that left a comment. I added him to be my friend, which is completely out of the ordinary for me. Ever since then we have talked everyday, either through email, texting, or talking on the phone. I have connected with him on a level I never thought possible. I am trying to think of every possible way this could go wrong. He is friends with a few people I went to high school with. I even googled his name, and his stories add up. He said he went to college for a golf scholarship, and a newspaper article with that very college came up with his name in it. I have no problems meeting men but, I feel weird meeting someone this way, At the sametime, I feel like I could really have something with him. He is the first person I talk to in the morning and the last at night. I am flying to Miami from Atlanta to see him... am I crazy? I just need some words of wisdom or encouragement.
Hope in making the Nationwide/PGA Tour? Okay, Im 15, freshman in HS. I made the varsity golf team. I have about a 3 handicap. Now, when do colleges start looking at you for scholarships to play DIV 1 golf?? And do I have hope in playing college golf and making the NAtionwide tour and getting my card? Thanks And BTW, my dad is a pga pro, and ive been playing since i was 3! Thank u everybody! Thanks!
What are my chances for college (Northwestern, Boston College, Georgetown, etc) I really messed up my freshman year and got a 3.1 GPA. I worked harder my sophomore year and got a 3.6 GPA, bringing my overall GPA up to a 3.4, but I know that's not good enough. Junior year I am taking AP classes and am getting really serious about school.. I am hoping to get a 3.9 - 4.0 junior year, which should probably bring me up to about a 3.7? (I think..) And I'd also get those good grades senior year. I'm on the girls JV tennis team at my school, and also the boy's varsity golf team. All of the colleges I'm looking at have Div I women's golf teams and I'm hoping to get a scholarship for that. I just started golf this year but have improved extremely fast and am already shooting scores in the 80s which many college teams post. I'm also in the Interact (community service) Club, my church's youth group, and I submit pieces to my schools literary magazine I've won several international and national writing contests and I hope to win more I get A s in english every quarter I'm hoping to be a journalism or english major in college I've already taken the SATs for a couple years for practice..in 7th grade I got the highest score in the state on verbal... and on the new SAT I got a 760 critical reading, 790 writing, and 630 math. i got a perfect score on the essay and in my various practice tests I've been projected to get a 800 next time I take the writing section because I got perfect scores on the prac tests.. I got the 99th percentile overall on the PSAT I'm just afraid my low GPA will bring me down, what do you think my chances are? I don't want to go to URI or anything. Thanks! :) i meant to say i get a plus in english every quarter, not a ohh and i plan to take the sat subject for literature and US history i dont know how to respond to a comment cause im new .. but thank you guys for the answers! i dont know how to choose best answer either but they were all very helpful :) and to the person with the unsure response about golf scholarships...it doesnt matter how long ive played, it depends on how good i am, and with my scores i easily qualify for regionals, let alone states..division II requires you to break 95. and i play multiple courses (i am on the boys varsity golf team, there are matches). but thanks. i still am not sure if i'll get in, they're all reach schools, but i'll keep your advice in mind! and the 2nd person.. i was referring to NWU in chicago. :]
Feminists, how proud are you that Title IX has cut 60,000 young men's scholarships? Thank to the feminist Title IX law, thousands of young men's college wrestling, baseball, swimming, tennis, golf, rowing, track & field, diving, and gymnastics programs have been cut. Young men have lost 60,000 scholarships due to Title IX. This must make feminists very proud? How much glee do feminists get from knowing that they are denying 100,000+ boys and young men opportunity to play sports in college? (Without football, it would be even worse because football revenue is what pays for most women's sports teams and some of the few men's teams that are left.) http://www.academia.org/campus_reports/2003/sept_2003_8.html
How can I convince my mom not to make me take a full schedule next year? I am going to be a junior next year. I have a 4.0 GPA right now and next year i'm taking two community college classes. I play golf and I am trying to get a golf scholarship. But in order to do that, i need to practice every day. My mom is signing me up for all these things, like National Honor Society, Weight Training (which is a joke!), Track (which i'm horrible at) and much more! She says that I need a full schedule because colleges look at if you have a full schedule or not. How can I convince her so I won't have to take a full schedule?!
High School Golf? I am freshman in high school. I couldn't play golf this year because I injured my shoulder a week before try outs. I took lessons over the summer and was ready to go. I am fine now but I live in the midwest and I can't really go to the driving range because of the weather. I could go to a heated/indoor range but I don't want to go hit balls when I know my swing is messed up. I am going to start lessons in the spring with the same guy I had been taking them from. The high school coach knows me and how I play and told me he knows I will make varsity. Anyway, I know to practice and just do what I can on my part to improve. What else can I do? Also, what would the chances of me being able to play college level be? It doesn't matter if I get a scholarship or if I walk-on. I just want to play in college. I have been playing since I was 7 and that has been my dream since. Thanks!
College Help. To what kind of schools should I apply? I have begun my college applications and am almost finished, but I am still just a little unsure of my list. I am not sure what kind of schools I should be applying to. I realize this is a very subjective question, but just according to numbers: I have a 2130 on my SAT'S (710 verbal, 690 math, 730 writing), a 31 on the ACT, a 103 GPA, and am ranked 9 in my class of 350 students. Currently I applying to among others: Boston College, Vanderbilt University, Georgetown, Lehigh, Dartmouth, Trinity College, Bucknell, etc. And yes I do realize that other factors are important to admission as well: I lacrosse, golf, and am very active in music. Anyway, do I have my sights set too high, too low. If so, any suggestions for good fit schools (I do also need a good amount of scholarship or aid money to afford school)?

How did you find your career path? howd u find your calling? how to figure out wat to do with life? Im 20 yo, and i have 2 classes under my belt at community college. I have pursued allot of things, and yet still so hard to figure out what i want to do. All i do KNOW is that i can do anything, anything i set to do i do better then most, but i lack the drive to actually go the next step. I took up bowling and have a pro avg in a sport shot league and qualified to go pro, then quit, i golfed for years and have won 3 amatuer golf titles then quit, i dedicated myself to poker since i was 14 and have made thousands upon thousands then quit. I pursued acting/modeling and went to 4 auditions and played 1 movie extra scene, agency requested to work with me, then i quit, i even pursued professional gaming as wierd as it sounds, and got my old team sponsored by got frag and was paid to play a video game, then quit, i pitched in baseball for 3 years in high school and offered scholarship, didnt take it, then quit.. For some reason i just dont take it to the next step and i dont know why??
Do I have a chance of getting into UCLA, UC Irvine, UC Davis and UC San Diego? College applications are approaching, and I'm thinking if I should even apply to colleges I don't have a chance of getting into. I come from a high school that's quite competitive, and it's pretty hard to get into honors/ap classes. My sat score is relatively low. Do colleges specifically look at your weighted or unweighted gpa? weighted: 3.85 unweighted: 3.65 sat I: 1720 3 community college courses extra-curricular - golf, peer leader, homeroom officer, CSF (California scholarship federation) officer, student govt and 4 other clubs, after school tutor Volunteer jobs: library, hospital & day cares Had an internship over the summer Thanks.
how many colleges should i send my application to? im a sophomore in high school, play 2 sports, and have a 4.0. I am planning on playing golf in college, i play bball as well but i believe i can get farther in golf. I would like to play either division 1 or division 2. My mom said that i should start sending out applications and videos of my swing this spring, but i don't know what to do because when given a list of colleges I like them all...My mom is only getting her information from the internet so I never know if she's right. I just want to send my application to every college that could possibly be interested in me. I like big schools, I really really really want to go to stanford for womens golf, but my scores need to improve. But I really like Ivy league and just big schools that are good in womens golf. Duke, USC, Princeton, UCLA, Virginia, Arizona State, and those types of schools. Can I just send my application to every division 1 and 2 college? My mom keeps saying that you're not supposed to make schools think you're interested in them, but I want to see which ones I get accepted into and which ones I can get scholarships for so wouldn't it be better for me to have a broad choice of colleges? I don't know what to do, can someone please help me out on this? thanks by the way, I have no clue what i want to major in or anything so I don't know how im supposed to choose which ones to apply to..... i have an unweighted gpa of a 4.0 and idk exactly what it is weighted, but i took 3 honors and an AP class freshmen year, and this year im in 3 honors
difficulty of earning an rotc scholarship? here's my story: 1960 SAT, probably gonna be 2000 by Nov. 3.98 GPA Extremely High SAT II's Captain/President of 3 Clubs and Golf Team Senior Class VP And on and on... However, I do not currently meet the APFT push-up minimum. Will I have to meet this number (42 p-ups two min) by my interview date or when I actually go to college? Furthermore, does anyone have any tips on interviewing?
