When Can I start to apply 4 college Scholarships?

I will be a freshman when school starts and my family cant afford for me 2 go to college and im not sure if i will be able 2 save enough money in 4 yrs....can i strt 2 work towards scholarships now

1. Well you can enter a ton of essay contests for money beginning in like 8th grade i think. It works and a lot of times people don't even enter so you have a good chance. Sometimes you have to read a book. Talk to your counciler.
2. Get your 2 year degree...you could even enter in a junior college with the credits you obtain. For me, I can't wait..I want to apply to a 4 year now :D
3. You can actually start applying for some scholarships right now.. and you may even find more if you knw what you wanna major in college...there is a lot of website for scolarships, well heres one base on my understanding is good..Scholarships.com ( just sign up with them) and there is more website for scholarships..its all over the internet..And thats real smart to start looking early, you wont make the same mistake i did.
4. You usually apply for scholarships in your junior/senior year of high school. There are some scholarships you can apply for earlier than that (usually essay contests). 4 year scholarships are hard to come by; you can apply every year to various one year scholarships instead. Don't look down on a scholarship just because it is not a lot of money; every little bit helps.
