How to search for 2007-08 Government Grants to pay back student loans?

I am at college where I just took out a student loan in 2006-07. Do you think that it is too soon to start paying it back? If not where can I find student grants? This is important

1. Most (if not all) student loans are set up to begin repayment shortly after graduation. If you have the money to pay it back now, I would put the money in a simple savings account to earn some interest. The student loan shouldn't start accruing interest until after the first payment. You'll make a little bit of $$ and still pay off your loan without interest expense.
