Grants and Scholarships

Do you have to be in high school to receive college scholarships or grants?

I currently go to this community college here and I will be graduating next may. Hopefully. I gotta work extra hard to keep my gpa up so they can give me a scholarship. I hate to turn 21 and still be at a community college! I had to sit out a year for personal reasons. I know when some ppl think of community colleges they picture the reasons ppl attend are because of lack of intelligence or money. That is not true. I go to one of the top 10 community colleges in the world. Anyway, I am really ready to transfer though. It's a good school but I'm ready for a university. I don't want to take out a loan and get in debt. I was wondering if there were any scholarship programs or grants that you knew of that were offered to students who held AA degrees or ppl who were out of high school.

  1. Check with your college. I personally graduated from our local technical college. I loved it. It gives you more of a hands on then what you will receive in your 4 year school. I wish I had the link that I watched on Youtube about how much you learn in a 4 your college and how much of it pertains to your everyday life. It wasn't worth all the money that would have been stuck into it. Your college website should give you places to get grants and usually ours applied for all that it pertained to. Good luck and don't give up.
