Grants for low income students?
I'm a Texas college student with an EFC of 0, and this year I only received about half of my tuition in financial aid. I'm wondering if there are any additional grants I can qualify for. I do not have a cosigner on a loan and have not been able to receive scholarships. *** For the record, I have applied for scholarships, that wasn't what I was asking about, thanks.

- Other than grants and loans there are scholarships. You have not be able to receive scholarships because you have not applied for them. you need to get on a fastweb or some other scholarship search and look and apply. Stop wanting for hand outs to come to you and go get the money for yourself.
- Check at the Texas College Financial Aid office. Every school has a list of grants specified for that school. The best place to get money for your school is to check your school. Hope this helps, and encourages to check at the Financial Aid office. =-]
- If you are going to successfully navigate college, you need to get a little courage. Going online and asking random people for help will get you nowhere fast. Contact your school's financial aid office. They want you to go there, and they want you to pay your bills, so they will help you. Then read the information they give you and follow instructions. Also use internet searches to find any potential grants and scholarships.
