Can student grants be garnished by landlord, if i have a judgement against me?
Breaking my lease, by not paying rent for my apartment this semester, because I'm not receiving financial aid this semester. But in the summer, probably, I will be receiving grants so I will be having rent money. My apartment manager won't negotiate a way out, she wants me to pay, she doesn't even want me to get someone to occupy the apartment? And she's threatening to sue me. I'm so worried she'll lien my account and take all my college money, what can I do?

- That money goes straight to the school from the government to pay tuition. There is no way that anyone could get it. But this also means that it goes to the school and not to you and there is not going to be enough leftover to pay anything besides some of your books, the yearly max is 5350 a year, summer aid comes from the same FAFSA as fall aid, so you more than likely do not have any for summer if you lost it for Spring.
