Grants and Scholarships

College scholarships?

I'm trying to help get my son in college, he really wants to go to the local technical college here in town. Can anyone tell what scholarships are available to him and which ones are not based on his parents income (there's no way we can help him thru, we have 3 other kids at home). he will be the first in his family to attend college. We are in Georgia. Any advise would be appreciated.

1. Well you can file a FAFSA which is money from the government that you can get only if you qualify. I look for scholarships on www.fastweb.com . Its a really easy search engine to use. Check it out

4. The first thing you should do is take him down to the college and speak with a financial aid advisor. He can fill out a FAFSA online for the Federal Pell Grant. In addition to the Federal Pell Grant he can also apply for Scholarships. http://www.scholarships.com/
