Grants and Scholarships

what college scholarships are there for kids who's parent is disabled?

My father is disabled and unable to work. I am a current college student who is paying for tuition and living costs on my own. Does anyone please know of scholarships available for children who have a disabled parents and are in financial need? Thank you so much! If any info is needed for anything else college i will return the favor!

  1. fastweb.com has tons of all kind of crazy scholarships
  2. You need to apply for federal and state financial aid by going to http://fafsa.ed.gov Since your father is disabled and likely has a very low income, you might get free grant money to help you with school costs. Note, this is for grants and work study and (if you want them) loans. This is NOT an application for scholarships. Scholarships are given out on the basis of academic "merit". This is something that you accomplish like having a great ACT/SAT score or good GPA. To find those, you should talk to your schools fin aid or scholarship office. Just a note though, most scholarship deadlines (for next fall) were back in Feb and March.
