questions about marines and college scholarships?
i am 15 years old and am planning on joing the marines when im older. i was wondering if it would be better to join as enlisted for the minimum years, then go to college and come back as officer through officer school. Or would it be better to just go into college before enlisting and going into as an officer from the start. also would the marines even pay for scholarships? just a few questions ive been wondering for a while, thanks.

- Read through this page here. It will or should answer some of your questions. http://futurejarheads.webs.com/officerorenlisted.htm
- Yeah they'll pay for you to go to college, but then they'll deploy you overseas and you'll never actually get to go. That's how they screw you.
- If you can afford to pay for college, get your degree, then join as on officer. If you don't have the money for college, join up, serve your time, get out, go to college then. All branches of the service have a very good benefit package for education. After you have served your time, the service will pay for your college classes as long as you are passing them. Call your local marine recruiter, he can give you the answers and also furnish you with pamplets with the current regulations.
