Grants and Scholarships

What form scholarships, grants and financial aid am eligible for to attend college in the US?

I was recently accepted in a US College which is a lifelong dream but the cost seems very daunting, i did a little research but the Aid part is kinda unclear. So i was wondering if any of you guys know any good financial aid resources an International student would qualify for, if any?

  1. You will need to apply for scholarships. Most schools do have scholarships that international students are eligible for. But, it's unlikely that you'll get enough to pay for the entire cost. Some very elite schools will give international students with low incomes a full scholarship but most schools don't have the funds for this. You are not eligible for any US grants or loans.
  2. Plan on paying around $50,000 a year (more or less depending on the school you go to) to go to school in the US as an international student. You have to prove you can pay before you can get a visa. You are not eligible for financial aid from the US government. Check your school's website for information on aid for international students.
  3. As an "international student" you will need to apply for a "student visa" to be able to attend college here, and the visa application will require you to show proof that you can pay your own way - and thus you're NOT eligible to receive financial aid which is for U.S. citizens only.
